The Haematology Lab

Leeds Teaching Hospitals' Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service have an excellent, but very technical, website on the diagnosis of a whole range of blood disorders (lymphomas, leukaemias etc) and diagnostic techniques.

Hi there it seems a bit out of date predisolone for ALL treatment ? Our consultant told it that was tried on the last trial and while it didnt have the unpleasant side effects of the dex, the results showed dex to be more effective significantly. The dex is the bit that I would realy like to see inproved, regards

I believe it's still used as an alternative to dex if the patient shows very bad adverse effects to the dex.

I had it instead of dex when the toxicity outweighed the effect :)
