School News

From Jaime's teacher ...
Hello Angus
Glad to hear Kezia has been allowed home, hope everything is going well. I am extremely pleased with Jaime's progress. He speaks a lot of English now and greets me every morning with 'Good morning Mrs Sidell'. I will be sending a praise postcard home this week so he can share his achievements with the rest of his family.
He is a well mannered, well behaved little boy and an asset to our school!!
Best wishes

Congratulations Jaime!

In other school-related news, apparently there's an outbreak of headlice at school - Jaime's not picked them up yet but best to be forewarned ...

How cute! We get postcards of praise at our high school too, well done Jaime! And top tip for nits...whack loads of conditioner on and then comb out with nit comb while its still on, that way they can't cling to the slippery hair....

Good news. Anyway, why do we go so crazy about nits?

Ah ha Alex - didn't think you were reading us!

Anyway, as our consultant comments, Kezia won't have any hair to host them!

True. The blue death juice our school handed out scared me almost as much, at the time, as methotrexate would now.

Hi Alex and Angus
My sister's older child had a big problem with nits for a while, and eventually the only solution was to use a fine comb every night to get the nits and the lice out of the hair. The chemical products just weren't effective enough, apparently, so the old-fashioned remedies of time and patience were the only answer. And, of course, there's the added benefit of family bonding through primate grooming rituals!
